Closing the Bones

A traditional post partum bodywork and shamanic therapy for women from Ecuador, using a rebozo to rythmically rock and align the bones of the pelvis, combined with abdominal massage techniques to correctly position the internal organs. Used post-birth for mothers as a healing, recovery therapy, but suitable for both sexes and a method of grounding the energies of the womb/hara and releasing held trauma.

Tibetan Womb/Hara Pulsing

A temple bodywork practice which involves rythmic pressure to the lower abdomen, this can induce an altered state of consciousness and act as a profound catalyst to enable natural release of sexual and relationship issues, reproductive trauma and connect the giver and reciever with spirit to unite the divine masculine and feminine aspects.

Shamanic Practice

Learn how to make journeys for soul retrieval and connection with power animals, ancestors and spirit kin. Safely explore the inner landscape, using voice, drum and dance to enter an altered state of consciousness and access wisdom held within the ancestral lineage as well as that of spirit guides, guardians and teachers. Shamanism is a symbolic oracle that often supports us in our personal growth by encouraging a honouring and deeply listening path of increasing awareness, both of our secret selves and our connection to the greater whole of being. It is the oldest spiritual and healing tradition on the planet and the methods used hold similarities with indigenous ancient cultures all around the planet. One on one or group tuition with Liz.

Herbal Remedies and Natural Nutrition

We can use herbs or other supplements to encourage a state of balance and strength within the systems of the body. Herbs and supplements can act as a useful adjunct to other therapies and empower us to begin taking charge of our health as a part of daily routine. Good nutrition is the foundation of health and well-being. Liz may often suggest specific foods as a source of nutrients that may benefit health issues. Together we can address specific dietary requirements, goals and work to improve overall health through better nutrition. If you have any serious diagnosed condition please follow the advice of a consultant dietitian or medical herbalist in preference to any other suggestions. This course gives CPD hours for qualified therapy practitioners. One on one or group tuition.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone therapy utilises the geothermal heat retention of volcanic basalt stones. Not only does this treatment help to release tensions from the muscles with the penetrating action of heat, it helps boost detoxification and lymph drainage, as well as helping to regulate body temperature by challenging the internal thermostat. Hot stone massage is akin to crystal therapy as the stones have a deeply grounding and balancing effect on the subtle energy body. During the treatment stones are placed on specific acupressure points and chakras, as well as massaging the body. Learn the correct procedure to safely work with hot stones, techniques for massaging with the stones and appropriate placements. This course gives CPD hours for qualified therapy practitioners.

Labour and Birth Care for Mums and Supporters

Gently addressing challenges and preparing for the birth. Liz has had specialist training in supporting mothers throughout the journey from the challenges of conceiving, through to labour and beyond. She can offer assistance with issues such as sickness and nausea in early stages, back pain and hip problems in the later stages, or sleep loss. She can assist in encouraging good positioning for the baby prior to engagement, and help to facilitate pain relief techniques during the labour itself. Post partum she can provide nurturing respite and stimulate the body in its regeneration process following the birth. She is happy to spend a session with mum and birth partner teaching specific pressure points and safe massage oils to use at the birth, or can accompany mums in labour with the consent of the consultant midwife. One on one or group tuition.

LomiLomi Hawaiian Massage

Celebrating and honouring the body through kahuna wisdom. Lomilomi is deep prayerful bodywork that allows us to be embraced within the intention and blessings of Aloha - infinite compassion and ultimate joyful acceptance. The massage is performed in an intensified field of Mana (life force energy) and the practitioner uses long flowing strokes to envelope the entire body in a bliss state. This is a healing modality that must be felt to be believed. It communicates the ancient wisdom of Huna through the medium of touch, reminding us of our personal power to create change and manifest magic in our lives by being in a receptive connected heartspace in the present moment. Lomilomi can also incorporate Ha transformative breathwork or Bonewashing to release held traumas and emotion from the periosteum.Learn the smooth flowing strokes and shamanic philosophy underpinning this sacred healing practice. Meditation and Guided Visualisation

Learn these useful tools for inner growth & manifestation. Our minds are incredibly powerful vehicles of awareness. We can harness and invoke the power of thought in order to empower positive change in our lives. It has been shown in research studies that meditation can stimulate the immune system or ease pain. Visualisations are a proven method of enhancing performance in athletic sports as well as increasing personal effectiveness in relationships or the work environment. Situations that may seem challenging in real life can have an improved outcome following visualisation and meditation sessions. It can be believed that the electro-magnetic charge of somatic nervous activity acts as a conduit to connection with the zero point field, a matrix of universal energy potential that connects everything in existence. Through visualising and affirming we can co-create reality and the lives we wish for. One on one or group tuition available. CPD hours are available on this course for qualified therapy practitioners.

Reiki Attunements

Reconnection to the universal energy matrix, repairing the field. Reiki means universal life energy. It is a vibrational healing modality that works with the subtle energy body to bring about a release of stuck energy in the chakras and a greater connection with the universe around us, bringing about release of patterns of emotion or awareness that we are ready to let go of. At True Bliss we utilise traditional Japanese Usui Reiki, as well as the more recent modalities of Tera Mai, Seichem and Karuna. Reiki sessions are very gentle and can be hands on or in the layers of the aura. Liz is a Reiki Master Teacher and offers Attunements from beginner through practitioner to Master level. Sessions are intuitive and practitioners may combine reiki with crystals, sound, angelic or shamanic techniques as an adjunct to the work being done. One on one or group tuition. CPD hours available on this course for qualified therapists.

Sacred Intimacy

Reconnect to the sacred union, discovering our own divinity. Guidance using exercises and ritual from the tradition of Tantric Yoga. Explore our relationship with god and goddess within ourselves. Release held traumas around issues with intimacy and the physical body as a vehicle to spiritual awakening. A safe held space to explore and open up, including visualisations, breath-work and bodywork invoking the sacred sensual aspects of our highest selves. This therapeutic work does not involve any direct sexual contact in the context of sessions Liz facilitates. One on one, couples or group workshops.

Sound Therapy and Sacred Chanting

Learn to work with sacred song, drumming, pure tones & singing bowls. Everything that exists is vibrating to a sonic frequency. The organs of the body, our electro-magnetic field, emotions and thoughts all have a song unique to their harmonious functioning. Liz works with Tibetan and Pure Quartz Singing Bowls, Harp, Voice, Drum and Bio-sonic Tuning forks, and the Angels of Sound to re-tune and release blocks within the physical and subtle bodies using sound as a diagnostic tool and therapeutic modality. Together we can discover your heart-song and sing it back to shining wholeness. This may be used in conjunction with other treatment methods as a powerful adjunct. This workshop gives CPD hours for practising therapists. One on one or group tuition.

Thai Yoga Massage

Opening & stretching the body, moving energy, aligning the spine. Thai yoga massage and bodywork is an ancient traditional system of healing that works by enabling the movement of energy along Senlines following the natural contours of the body. It can be vigorous or gentle, incredibly powerful over the space of only a few sessions for increasing flexibility and circulation to the extremities, as well as facilitating re-alignment and release of joints or connective tissue adhesions. Thai bodywork is performed fully clothed on a floor mattress, and the practitioner uses hands, feet, knees, elbows and thumb pressure alongside full body stretches and counter-balances to guide the recipient through a passive yoga workout and relaxation sequence.

Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet that originated in Thailand about 2000 years ago. It has become an integral part of traditional Thai massage and has elements of Shiatsu, Reflexology, Chinese massage and Yoga incorporated into the massage itself. Thai Foot Massage involves hands on stretching and massage, along with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points. It is still taught by Buddhist monks in the temples of Thailand. Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage compliment each other beautifully. Thai Massage balances the elements of the mind and body, while Thai Foot Massage stimulates the internal organs, giving the receiver an holistic treatment.
